Really great article - nice one! I'm conflicted because I had my suspicions that recycling was an inefficient process due to all the labour that goes into sorting the different materials and plastics. I came here because I wanted to visit a landfill in the UK, so during my research I used google satellite to check them out. I was expecting to see vast expanses of open rubbish but each site I saw looked clean, like an industrial warehouse. Seems like landfills have come on a long way since the photos you may have seen of Packington Landfill in the 1980s. My approach would to try lowering consumption by improving the build quality and longevity of commonly used products so that replacement is less frequent. Thanks for the effort on this article - Alex
