Thanks Mat, I'm with you. I'm now shifting my attention to UK CNC manufacturers to give it a bit of a fairer test. I think casting does create an amazing surface finish and was still a useful exercise as I now know that's possible to do quite cheaply within the M25. I think this shape lends itself to CNC a lot better, if it was something that was a bit less precise looking and had more gentle transitions then casting would be a better shout. I'll keep marching on :)
